As part of of its Intern program, weekly classes are held during the school year to augment physics, engineering, and mathematics lessons and also assist with the interns' personal development. These classes are designed and taught by Mentis engineers, with the goal of providing a hands-on lesson in topics such as materials testing, composites fabrication, and CAD modeling.
During the most recent project, time was spent with interns individually developing a "personal development plan." The goal of this project was to work with Mentis engineers and identify a future goal (science or non-science related) and the steps required to achieve them, after which interns were encouraged and assisted with executing their plan.
